We began sketching out our ideas for the magazine cover as a class. We drew a sketch, colored it, and filled it with various ideas and fonts.
My masthead says La Palme, but I think in the final version I am going to change it to La Palmera; I think it's a great name that fits Miami since it means palm tree in Spanish.
I had the idea of putting the beach on the cover because that's the first thing most people think of when someone mentions Miami. I also like how the Masthead fits with the skyline, but I just made the skyline up, so I have to see if I can do the same thing with the real one.
I added the main headline and the other cover lines as well, trying to make it as realistic as possible.
